Town taxes are a different kind of payment

High River explains that property taxes fund municipal services, programs and infrastructure. Its annual tax notices cover the calendar year. These taxes should be kept separate from any condominium contribution or private agreement attached to a particular home.

Check the subdivision and the legal property

This research has not yet established a current association or covenant fee for Montrose, Hampton Hills, Vista Mirage, Sunrise Meadows or Emerson Lake Estates. That is an information gap, not evidence that every home is free of private obligations.

  • Ask the seller to identify every recurring property-related payee.
  • Read title instruments and any condominium plan and bylaws.
  • Request the current tax certificate, utility account and any private maintenance agreement.
  • Confirm who owns and maintains shared landscaping, roads or amenities.
