Start with the original
Association publications, governing documents and municipal sources form the basis of our profiles. Relevant references stay alongside the information they support so readers can consult the original.
Calgary, community by community
A neighbourhood is more than its listings. It is the lake your household can use, the paths you walk, the services your fees support and the responsibilities that come with an address.
HomeownersAssociation.ca brings those details together for Calgary and the surrounding communities, helping buyers, owners and real estate professionals ask better questions before making a decision.

Our editorial purpose
Association information is often spread across fee notices, bylaws, community websites and operating policies. Our profiles connect those materials with the questions people actually have: what is charged, what it pays for, who can use an amenity and which records matter when a home changes hands.
Our comparisons distinguish homeowners and residents associations from voluntary community memberships, condominium corporations and municipal services. A similar name does not mean the same organization, and a community boundary does not determine an individual property's obligations.
Original research means doing the comparison work: reading the documents, identifying differences between property classes, explaining changes between published fee schedules and making conflicting information visible.
Editorial standards
Association publications, governing documents and municipal sources form the basis of our profiles. Relevant references stay alongside the information they support so readers can consult the original.
A standard annual assessment, a lakefront charge and a condominium membership class may differ substantially. We identify the published period, tax treatment and separate charges instead of presenting one price as universal.
An unpublished amount is not a zero fee. An unresolved boundary is not an exemption. Where documents disagree or a property-specific answer is needed, we explain the question to take to the association or your adviser.
Historical notices and budgets can explain how an association operates, but they do not automatically describe today's account or rules. Fee years, effective dates and document versions remain visible where they affect a decision.
Photography & film
Our visual coverage combines community photography with clearly identified editorial illustrations. Photographs show real settings; illustrations offer an interpretation of a place. They serve different purposes and are labelled accordingly.
We plan to commission professional photographers and videographers to expand our coverage across Calgary and the surrounding communities. The focus will be street-level character, parks and pathways, community facilities and seasonal perspectives that help people understand everyday life in an area.
That work will prioritize thoughtful location selection, permission where needed and accurate identification of what is shown. Private facilities and residential spaces require particular care: a compelling image should never imply access that a property does not have.
Photographers and filmmakers interested in contributing Calgary community coverage can contact our editorial team with a portfolio and the areas they know best.
Discuss community photography or video →Community photographs include the REPYYC collection and supporting images credited to NewBuildHomes.ca. Editorial illustrations also draw on public community imagery from associations and developers, including Above All Aerials imagery published by Lake Chaparral Residents Association. An illustration is not a photograph or a statement of current facility condition. Questions about image credit or use can be directed to the site team.
Accountability
The site contact is REPYYC — Real Estate Partners, a real estate business. HomeownersAssociation.ca is independent of the associations, developers and public bodies it covers. Inclusion does not imply their endorsement.
The website does not administer memberships, collect association dues or issue account-status certificates. Those requests belong with the relevant association. Individual title and transaction questions should be reviewed with the appropriate professional.
Corrections & contributions
Owners, association representatives and community professionals can flag a changed fee, revised policy or missing document. Include the page and a link to the relevant public notice. We review supporting material before changing the published information.
Please keep private account information and personal property documents out of a public correction report.
